Neumont College of Computer Science wrapped up one of its largest career weeks in the institution’s history today. With more than 20 participating businesses, the week has included opportunities for companies to recruit future Neumont graduates, and for current students to learn from industry leaders during Tech Talks Participating companies included Overstock, SelectHealth, and Amazon. Scott McKinley, Amazon Web Services Academy Leader and a co-founder of Neumont presented the final Tech Talk to students on Friday, May 18.

“We’re thrilled to have had such an incredible turnout for this spring’s Career Week,” said Britta Nelson, Neumont Director of Corporate Relations. In her role, Nelson works closely with companies and organizations looking to hire students with tech expertise or develop projects with students. “It’s really been a win-win for the companies and our students.”

Neumont President Aaron Reed. Ed.D., explained that “Neumont’s focus is to improve lives through education, and we see that with the success of our Career Weeks. Students and companies alike benefit from our hands-on, project-based approach to computer science education that means our students are ready to hit the ground running when they graduate. It also means that companies can take advantage of scouting talent and putting that talent to work even before graduation.”
